Welcome

WHAT IS SUKHAM?

Sukham is a Sanskrit word that literally means “comfortable, at ease, pleasant”.

It’s a quiet joy, a state of well-being, which is the opposite of Dukkham (pain and sorrow).

If you look around you will see a lot of suffering - people are ill, physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually. It’s hard to keep up with the Modern World’s demands, there is so much stress, so much pressure for doing more, for knowing more, earning more, having more… we might be forgetting that being more is the self-improvement that’s needed!

It sounds hard but it’s possible, with awareness, persistence and self-compassion. Changing old patterns, deconstructing old beliefs and breaking unhealthy habits is always challenging, but it is very worthwhile, because you are worth it! You can learn how to implement the right lifestyle and diet for you, specifically considering your own, innate and unique needs and characteristics. You can learn how to honor your singularities and understand what moves you out of whack, and how to bring yourself back into balance.

So, you are invited to embark on a journey of being more SUHKAM, being more whole, more balanced, more relaxed, more coherent, more joyful, and less susceptible to the ups and downs of life and the craziness around you. And once you learn what Ayurveda, Yoga (and “coming soon” Hypnosis) have to teach you, you will BE all you want to be and live the life you deserve living. That’s how self-empowering these Sciences are.

Cheers to a new life with less Dukkham and more Sukham!

AYURVEDA

Ayurveda is the Science of Life (“veda” translates to science or knowledge and “ayu” means life) and is considered the most ancient system of medicine.

RAJA YOGA

The eight limbs of Yoga teach us to control the mind through observance of our ethical principles (Yama and Niyama), breathing exercises (Pranayama), withdrawal of senses (Pratyahara) concentration and meditation (Dharana and Dhyana).

KARMA YOGA

Karma Yoga is selfless service or “Seva”, it’s acting with detachment from the results of your actions; it’s giving for the joy of it, without expecting anything in return. It’s being authentic to who you truly are, it’s caring for people, animals, plants and the environment around you.
